职务:产品经理

工作描述负责HVAC工具类的产品规划和创新,执行新产品的引进,产品的完善和产品线的延伸,以及产品的生命周期管理。

这些职责包括但不限于:

收集和优先考虑产品和客户的要求,并与销售和工程部门紧密合作;

与海外OEM供应商伙伴紧密合作,并跟进产品从概念到开发进度直至最后的生产;

确保整体产品计划与公司的整体业务目标一致,并接受 “跳出盒子 “的思维,追逐新的产品类别或技术,以扩大公司的产品组合;

拥有令人瞩目的知识和领导力;

了解空调行业的总体情况,包括对最终用户、市场、客户的需求有深入了解;

能够挑战海外工厂,通过对当地市场的评估,创造和提供新产品,优化供应商的能力,以便在全球竞争中获胜;

专注于与暖通空调工具相关所有项目的责任和交付,并根据要求支持团队项目。

岗位具体职责:

1、通过与NAVAC公司内部和外部的各种职能部门合作,领导产品开发项目。从概念到最终生产的产品开发活动的跟进;维护和控制产品的开发时间表;开发和交付具有满足或超过市场需求的功能和规格的产品。

2、进行产品市场研究,包括产品特性、品牌、渠道、定价和计划。为竞争基准进行产品拆解分析。编写市场竞争报告,并发布与推进业务有关的报告。

3、与工程部合作,制定详细的产品规格、技术和机构要求、产品审批和产品认证。

4、掌握产品的市场需求,与公司的制造、运营和服务组织相一致。

5、与工程部/质量部合作,确定产品的最佳来源。可以与合作厂家谈判并签订供应商协议,以确保最佳成本。

6、与市场部合作,开发与推出新产品有关的所有营销资料,包括所有新的POP、市场和销售培训材料,以支持公司的销售组织。确保所有的产品和相关材料都是最新的;对使用和护理指南进行论证,以确保它们对用户友好,并避免客户投诉。

7、与工程部合作进行新产品测试,对新产品和现有产品进行质量评估,并解决任何与质量有关的问题;就所有相关问题与工厂保持开放的沟通渠道。

8、与工厂合作,不断寻找机会来降低产品成本。

9、与销售、技术支持和上层管理部门合作,解决任何与产品有关的问题。

10、与海外供应商保持持续沟通(电话、邮件、微信、视频会议等)。

11、适当地支持NAVAC团队的其他成员。

资格要求:

1、本科以上学历,机械工程专业优先。更高学历者优先。

2、至少5年以上相关行业工作经验,3年以上专业领域工作经验或产品经理的工作经验。

3、需要有基本的工程知识和/或培训,可以是工程学士学位,或相当于3年工程领域的工作/培训。

4、优秀的书面、口头和演示沟通能力,能够根据客户的需要进行定制化的沟通。能够与公司各阶层有效沟通。

5、注重结果,精力充沛,积极主动,敬业,可靠。

6、了解损益表,产品分销,新产品开发流程。

7、能够在多元文化环境下工作,并能处理好异地工作关系;掌握双语,英语和汉语、

Job Description

Position: Product Manager

Compensation: Salary plus benefits including medical coverage, 401K plan and paid vacation earned

Reports To: President of NAVAC Inc.

Job Description: The Product Manager is responsible for product planning and innovation, execution of new product

introduction, product refinement and line extension, and product lifecycle management, for HVAC Tools category. These

responsibilities include but are not limited to gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining

product vision and work closely with Sales and Engineering to ensure that revenue and profitability goals are met. This

position will work closely with oversea OEM supplier partners and follow up on product development schedule from concept

to final production. The position will also ensure that the overall product plan is aligned with Company’s overall business

objectives and embrace “out of the box” thinking to chase new product categories or technologies to expand Company’s

portfolio.

The Product Manager will develop a commanding level of knowledge and leadership within the assigned product category

and the HVAC industry in general, including developing an intimate knowledge of their end-user, market, customer needs,

and supplier capabilities. The Product Manager must also be able to challenge overseas factories to create and deliver new

products based on his/her assessment of the market requirements, optimizing supplier capabilities to win in Company’s

competitive landscape. He/she will be focused on accountabilities and deliverables for all projects related to the HVAC Tools

category as well as support team projects as requested.

Primary Responsibilities, Duties and Functions (Including but not limited to the followings)

  1. Lead product development projects by working with various functions both inside and outside of NAVAC Inc. Follow

up on product development activities from concept to final production. Maintain and control product development

schedules. Develop and deliver products that possess the features and specifications which meet or exceed market

requirements.

  1. Conduct product market research, including product features, brands, channels, pricing & programs. Perform product

teardown analysis for competitive benchmarking. Prepare market competitive landscape reports and issue reports

related to advancing the business.

  1. Work with Engineering on detailed product specifications, technical and agency requirements, product approvals and

agency listings.

  1. Align the product market needs and requirements with Company’s manufacturing, operation, and service support

organizations.

  1. Work with Engineering/QA in identifying best sources for the products. Negotiate and secure the best cost and work

with OEMs on vendor supplier agreements as well as other vendor programs as needed.

  1. Work with Marketing and develop all artwork related to launching new products, including all new POP, marketing and

sales training materials to support Company’s Sales organization. Ensure all product and related materials are

currently maintained and conduct internal and external sales training as needed. Proof use and care guides to assure

that they are user-friendly and avoid customer service calls.

  1. Work with Engineering on new product testing, quality evaluation of new and current products, and solving any

quality-related issues. Maintain an open line of communication with the factory for all related issues.

  1. Work with factories to continually look for opportunities to lower product costs.
  2. Work with Sales, Tech Support and upper management to resolve any product-related issues.
  3. Maintain constant communications with oversea vendors (Phone, Email, WeChat, and Videoconferences, etc.).
  4. Support other NAVAC Team members as appropriate.

Qualification Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degree is a plus.
  2. A minimum of 5 years experiences, preferably in HVAC Industry with leading companies, with 3 years direct

experiences working as a Product Manager.

  1. Basic Engineering understanding and/or training is required, which could be a BS degree in Engineering, or an

equivalent of 3 years of working/training in the engineering field.

  1. Excellent communication skills in written, oral, and presentation with ability to tailor communication to audience.

Capable to effectively communicate to all levels within the company.

  1. Results-orientated, energetic, proactive, dedicated, and dependable.
  2. Understanding of P&L statement, product distribution, new product creation process.
  3. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and manage long distance working relationship. Bi-lingual, English and

Chinese.

  1. A strong team player with leadership ability to successfully lead, manage, and motivate multi-functional teams.
  2. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and successfully deliver solutions in a timely manner.
  3. Extremely creative and open to new ideas.
  4. Detail oriented yet able to think at a strategic level.
  5. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  6. Travel is required (around 30%).
